Oh, that’s fine! It’s a hs reference. In Homestuck, a Scratch is a hard reset on the universe, but almost everything stays the same, with key players just “being born” (actually, arriving to earth on meteors, as you do) in the new universe at different times than in the original try. That happens if the game went so wrong you have to throw everything away and retry the game. Think “I accidentally killed someone when trying to do a pacifist run of Undertale and I really want that good ending so I’m uninstalling and trying all over again.” So the prescratch condition is just really messed up.
