The anonymous user posted this image to prompt a discussion on how little episodes of the 14 episode first season of Haruhi you would have to watch in order to watch them in every possible order, repeats included.
The thread eventually reached a working conclusion by divising a formula that would solve for any “n” length sequence. The thread’s findings were compiled on the mathsci wiki and titled “The Haruhi Problem.”
Last Monday (10/22/18), university mathematician Jay Pantone created a more professional looking assessment of their findings here. This lead to academia learning about 4chan’s unique findings and it’s being widely discussed.
The problem now is about credit. 4chan being an anonymous image board, there’s no one to cite for the findings.
I cannot fucking believe
Necessity truly is the mother of all invention
I can’t believe Haruhi fans made major progress in the field of mathematics before they got season three.
Some guy today mentioned he was in a band to me and I watched him get visibly uncomfortable when I didn’t ask him anything about it. He kept trying to bring the conversation around to his band and I wasn’t budging.
POWER MOVE: Complete and utter disinterest in men’s obsession with their own mediocrity
It’s a minor pet peeve, but it is everywhere today so errrr…. please keep in mind that “Rest in Peace”/RIP literally comes from a latin phrase and is a very very deeply Christian expression.
When talking about the departed, Jews say “may their memory be a blessing.”
So please, when talking about a dead person who is Jewish, try to keep in mind that RIP is a Christian phrase.
I learned something today, so I’ll pass it on so someone else can learn too
Let’s compare other big brands, things that sell clothes sorta similar to Cloak:
I chose three brands; Under Armour, Nike and Victoria’s Secret Pink (which sells athletic/lounge like wear).
Besides the fact that these brands did include models of different races on their website (which I was happy to see), when it came to various body types? Pretty much the same across the board. Athletic, skinny, ‘perfect’ body types. (I was going to also use Hot Topic for a completely different branding type but they have actually added an array of plus size models so that made me quite happy!)
Ok so let’s compare that to some of the models on Cloaks website:
“The players all are told to create mid level druids with animal companions. After creating their characters have all of the druids be kidnapped and the players must rescue them as their animal companions.”
