i love the way women talk… every woman has their own fun expressions and mannerisms we have FUN with it men all talk the same
in actual honesty there’s tons of research on how women are linguistic innovators (one example: a study conducted about language changes in english from 1417 to 1681 found that 11 out of the 14 changes they studied were led by young girls, and the 3 remaining linguistic changes were linked to men’s greater access to education) and you can still see that all the time because women talk so distinctively and so fun like you can see young women leading linguistic change all around you
I’ve been studying Feminist Linguistic Theory ans I can actually confirm this! In fact, research suggets that women tend to use correct language forms significantly more often than men do, write in more accessible ways which also treat complex emotions and concepts, and have a tendency to use language which facilitates and enables conversation.
The reasons behind why that is so are… very shakey academic ground though. It’s my personal opinion that it is heavily rooted in social attitudes and the psychological effects of sustained gender performance. One woman’s opinion though!
Regardless, language use typically associated with women is also highly stigmatized and ususally dismissed as linguistic submissiveness (to put it non-academically). The liguistics field is drownin blatant misogyny which essentially undermines the effective documentation of the history of laguage development.
